An elderly man has lost his life and four others have sustained injuries in what has been classified as a terrorist stabbing incident at the HaMifratz Central train and bus station in Haifa, northern Israel. The suspect, a member of the Druze community, was fatally shot by security personnel on site.
The victim, approximately 70 years old according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service, succumbed to his injuries amidst a chaotic scene where a 15-year-old boy and two adults, aged in their 30s, were left seriously injured. A 70-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries from the attack.
Police reported that the assailant hailed from Shfaram, a town about 10 kilometers from Haifa. Eyewitness accounts revealed that he arrived on a bus and began assaulting passengers as soon as he exited at the station.
