**Severe Turbulence Injures Eight on Ryanair Flight: Emergency Landing in Germany**

A Ryanair flight experiences severe turbulence, resulting in multiple injuries and an emergency landing in southern Germany.

Eight passengers were injured, including a young child, as the flight diverted due to adverse weather conditions on its route from Berlin to Milan.

A Ryanair flight traveling from Berlin to Milan faced a harrowing situation when it encountered severe turbulence, leading to the injury of eight passengers. The incident occurred on Wednesday night and prompted an emergency landing at Memmingen Airport in southern Germany. Bavarian police reported that among the injured were a two-year-old child who sustained bruises and a woman who suffered a head injury.

Three of the injured passengers were taken to a local hospital for further treatment, while others received assistance on-site. The incident reflects the challenges of air travel during adverse weather conditions, as the flight initially intended to land at Munich Airport but was diverted due to the weather.

Ryanair confirmed the situation, stating that the flight captain called for medical assistance in advance and that the plane landed safely at the alternative airport at 20:44 local time (18:44 GMT). Local authorities indicated that, due to the weather, landing at Munich Airport was deemed unfeasible, though the situation at Memmingen was managed without further complications.

In a statement, Ryanair expressed its apologies to the passengers affected by the turbulence and the diversion. They coordinated alternative transport for the passengers to Milan on the same night, along with arrangements for a replacement flight the following morning. A total of 179 passengers and six crew members were on board during the turbulent incident, and authorities checked all passengers for injuries as a precaution.

As the aviation industry continues to navigate challenges posed by weather variability, incidents like this serve as a reminder of the potential risks faced by air travelers.
