Meghan Markle Launches Online Fashion Shop for Fans to Explore Her Style
The Duchess of Sussex introduces a digital platform featuring her fashion favorites, catering to fans and followers.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has officially launched an online shop that allows fans to purchase her favorite clothing, accessories, and jewelry. The digital store, promoted via her Instagram account to 2.6 million followers, features a curated selection of items that embody her unique "high-low" style, blending designer pieces with more affordable options.
In a post shared on Monday, Meghan clarified that through this ShopMy platform, she would earn a commission on certain items sold through her affiliate links. This type of initiative is popular among social media influencers and “elite creators,” with commission rates reportedly reaching as high as 30%. Meghan has described the collection as a "handpicked" assortment of her beloved items, addressing fans who have long requested insight into her wardrobe.
Known for her trend-setting fashion choices, Meghan's previous outfits have seen immense popularity, often selling out quickly. For instance, a white coat by the Canadian brand Line the Label that she wore during her engagement announcement in 2017 crashed the brand's website due to high demand. Another example is a £500 ($675) Strathberry tote bag, which sold out in just 11 minutes after she was photographed with it.
The 32-piece collection introduced features neutral shades such as beige, light blue, and black, showcasing materials like linen and cashmere in a capsule wardrobe. Notable items include a classic white cotton t-shirt, a striped blue "boyfriend" shirt, and a stunning ivory evening gown, alongside formal blazers.
The brands featured are predominantly upscale high-street names, with items ranging from luxury pieces to budget-friendly options. A trench coat priced at £99 from Uniqlo stands alongside a pair of brown leather sandals from Saint Laurent retailing at £595.
ShopMy, the e-commerce platform that supports Meghan's online shop, claims commissions typically range from 10% to 30%, based on the brand. It also offers opportunities for creators to connect with over 47,000 brands for potential collaborations.
This latest venture follows closely on the heels of her recent Netflix lifestyle show, which highlights her home life, social gatherings, and various personal interests such as gardening and cooking. Prior to these endeavors, Meghan had also launched a lifestyle brand — initially named American Riviera Orchard — now known as As Ever, focusing on artisanal products.
Before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan ran her lifestyle blog, The Tig, for nearly three years until its closure in April 2017. The blog featured her insights on beauty, fashion, cooking, travel, and life inspiration, further establishing her as an influential figure in lifestyle and fashion sectors.
