Palestinian Civil Defense stated that over 80 Palestinians have died in airstrikes, with many of them being children. Wafa, the official news agency of the Palestinian Authority, reported that strikes have specifically targeted homes in northeastern Gaza City, resulting in significant casualties while rescue teams struggle to access the impacted areas due to ongoing hostilities. Ahmad al-Mashharwi, a resident seeking refuge with his family, expressed frustration and hopelessness, stating, "The cease-fire feels meaningless," as artillery and aerial bombardments continue to shake the region.

Despite the cease-fire's aim to facilitate the inflow of humanitarian aid, conditions in northern Gaza remain treacherous, with soaring prices and scarcity of essential supplies. Al-Mashharwi lamented the dire situation, articulating the desperation felt by families as basic necessities like food and clean water become increasingly unattainable, declaring, “We’ve been stripped of everything — there’s no safety, no resources, nothing to help us survive.” The grim reality on the ground underscores the fragility of peace in a region marred by violence and humanitarian crises.
