Tragic Death of British Tourist During Himalayan Trekking Adventure

A British tourist, trekking in the challenging terrain of the Himalayas near Thathri village in Dharamshala, has tragically died after sustaining a critical injury during his descent. The incident occurred while the man and a friend were hiking the popular Triund trek, an approximately 7km route known for its picturesque views but also for its potential dangers. Local emergency services reported that help was sought after one of the men fell and sustained serious injuries. Although he was rescued and taken to a hospital nearly 24 hours later, he was pronounced dead on arrival. Several hikers had reported similarly difficult conditions leading to a temporary ban on trekking in high-altitude areas, which the duo may not have been aware of.
