The event highlighted the federation’s push to increase female participation and raise competitive standards. Final standings crowned the top clubs in the overall rankings.

The Saudi Karate Federation closed its 2026 Elite Premier League and Women’s Final Championship on Saturday after a three‑day competition in Sakaka, Al‑Jouf Region. The event, hosted at the Al‑Orobah Club arena, drew more than 200 female athletes from youth, junior, under‑21 and senior categories.

Competitors battled in both kata and kumite, with the former involving choreographed forms and the latter detailing sparring bouts divided by weight. The tournament structure mirrored that of the federation’s recent domestic schedule, which has aimed to sharpen technical skill and competitive spirit among its female athletes.

Across the divisions, participants exhibited a high standard of technical execution, indicating steady progress in the sport’s national development plans. Many athletes reflected the growing depth of talent that the federation seeks to cultivate.

The final culminated in the crowning of overall champions among the clubs, marking the conclusion of the women’s league for the 2026 sports season. The victorious clubs will be recognized for their dominant performances across all age groups.

Officials highlighted that the championship represents a key milestone in the federation’s strategy to broaden women’s involvement in karate. "The event showcases the strides we have taken to enable female athletes to demonstrate their technical and competitive abilities," the federation stated in its official release.

By providing a national platform, the federation intends to raise the overall standard of women's karate and inspire further participation throughout Saudi Arabia. The championship also demonstrates its role in sustaining high‑level competition for female fighters within a domestic framework.

As part of its ongoing efforts, the federation will continue to organize domestic tournaments, strengthen training programs, and promote women's karate across the country. The 2026 Elite Premier League and Women’s Final Championship in Al‑Jouf are therefore seen as pivotal in advancing these objectives.
