Zayn Malik has announced a week-long residency in Las Vegas in January 2026. The former One Direction singer has only toured solo once since leaving the band, during last year's Stairway to the Sky shows.
Posting on Instagram, Zayn announced he would be performing at the Dolby Live venue at the Park MGM Hotel. Other prominent artists, including Adele, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga, have held successful residencies in Las Vegas, making it a notable venue for performers.
Despite the short length of Zayn's residency, fans are speculating that it is a sign of a greater comeback. The artist from Bradford, England recently stirred excitement among fans when spotted in the US with former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, leading to predictions of potential collaborations or new music.
This sighting is significant as it is believed to be the only time both artists have been seen together in a casual setting since One Direction's hiatus began in 2015, with the only previous appearance being at a memorial for their bandmate Liam Payne.
Additionally, this week Zayn released a new song titled 'Break Free' to coincide with the launch of the video game Borderlands 4. In an interview, he mentioned his passion for gaming, stating, “when I'm not working or with my daughter, my usual place is in front of the console, gaming with my friends back home in the UK.”
Notably, the announcement of this residency surprised many fans, as Zayn has been open about his struggles with live performances, previously expressing feelings of anxiety that led him to cancel a performance at the Capital Summertime Ball in 2016. Nonetheless, Zayn shared in a recent podcast that he has been working through these feelings, especially since becoming a father.
Tickets for Zayn's Las Vegas shows are expected to go on general sale from Friday, with much anticipation around which songs he will perform.
