**Chris Brown Maintains Innocence Against Assault Charges in London**

Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to two additional assault-related charges regarding an alleged bottle attack that reportedly occurred at a London nightclub two years ago. The 36-year-old American singer, known for his contributions to the R&B genre, faces accusations of causing actual bodily harm to a music producer during an incident described by prosecutors as "unprovoked." In addition, he is charged with possessing an offensive weapon—a tequila bottle—which has compounded his legal difficulties. These charges were filed last month, supplementing a more serious charge of attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) to which Brown has already entered a not guilty plea. The upcoming trial is set for October 2026.

During his recent court appearance at Southwark Crown Court, Brown dressed in a brown suit and sported dark-rimmed glasses. Fans were present to show their support, with some expressing their affection for the artist as he exited the courthouse. The charges arise from an incident on February 19, 2023, at the Tape nightclub in Soho, where the alleged assailant, Abraham Diaw, claimed he was struck multiple times with a bottle by Brown.

Following his arrest in May, which occurred at the luxurious Lowry hotel in Salford, Greater Manchester, Brown was detained for nearly a week. He secured his release upon agreeing to pay a £5 million security bond to ensure his return to court. This financial guarantee imposes conditions on Brown, including residing at a UK address during the trial period and surrendering his passport, although a plan permits him to regain it to fulfill tour commitments.

Despite his legal battles, Brown remains an influential figure in the music industry, boasting two Grammy Awards and 19 top 10 singles in the UK, with classic tracks like "Turn Up The Music" and "With You." Alongside Brown, his co-defendant, 39-year-old Omololu Akinlolu, who goes by HoodyBaby, has also entered a not guilty plea on similar charges relating to the same nightclub incident.
