Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has extended a unique invitation to former US President Donald Trump, urging him to live in his home in Ukraine for a week in order to understand the harsh realities of the ongoing war greatly affecting the nation. The invitation comes in the backdrop of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began in 2022, prompting Trump's previous assertions that he could resolve the conflict swiftly if re-elected.

While speaking to BBC Sport, Usyk expressed that such an experience would allow Trump to witness firsthand the relentless bombings and airstrikes that disrupt daily life. “I advise American President Donald Trump to come to Ukraine and live in my house for one week. Only one week. I will give him my house. Live please in Ukraine and watch what is going on every night. Every night there are bombs and flights above my house," he stated. Usyk's intent is clear: the constant threat and devastation faced by Ukrainians should compel a deeper understanding and empathy, especially from figures as influential as Trump.
