What was released and why now?
The House Oversight Committee issued a legal summons for Epstein’s estate’s executors last month, demanding various documents, including the birthday book containing the purported Trump note. The committee recently published this book, Epstein's will, contact entries from 1990 to 2019, and a non-prosecution agreement he signed.
In releasing the documents, committee chair James Comer criticized Democratic members for allegedly cherry-picking documents and politicizing the information from the Epstein Estate.
Who wrote in the alleged birthday book?
Entries from 40 individuals were categorized and published, excluding names under sections for family and girlfriends. Notably, Trump's entry, found on page 165, includes a note reading: Happy Birthday - and may every day be another wonderful secret. The White House asserted that the president did not draw accompanying illustrations.
Further analysis indicates a message from former US President Bill Clinton, praising Epstein’s “childlike curiosity.” Clinton’s office has not yet commented.
Additionally, an entry by Lord Peter Mandelson refers to Epstein as my best pal and depicts Epstein’s intriguing social circle.
No letter from Prince Andrew appears in the book, although a redacted entry references a woman claiming that Epstein introduced her to influential figures.
What are the other entries about?
The book contains diverse content from individuals of various backgrounds, reflecting Epstein's extensive network. One woman recounts her transition from a restaurant hostess to global traveler after meeting him.
The document also features numerous photographs from Epstein’s life, ranging from his private jet to candid moments with obscured individuals.
Some images included lewd scenes alongside wildlife from safari adventures.
