Hamas Celebrates Attack on Pregnant Israeli Woman in West Bank

Tzeela Gez, a 30-year-old therapist and mother of three, was shot in an attack that Hamas has referred to as a “heroic operation.” This incident has intensified the ongoing violence and tension in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

The tragic event occurred on Wednesday when Tzeela Gez was traveling with her husband from their home in the Israeli settlement of Bruchin to a hospital, preparing to give birth. They fell victim to gunfire from a Palestinian assailant, resulting in her death but allowing medical professionals to perform an emergency cesarean section that saved her newborn son, who is currently in critical but stable condition.

Israeli authorities have labeled the attack as an act of terrorism, initiating a search for the assailant. The attack is part of a larger escalation of violence in the West Bank, where several militant raids have taken place, leading to numerous casualties and displacements among the Palestinian population.
