Briana Boston, a 42-year-old woman from Florida, faces serious accusations after allegedly threatening a health insurance company during a recorded call about a denied medical claim. The call took place with a Blue Cross Blue Shield representative, during which Ms. Boston reportedly said, “Delay, deny, depose, you people are next.” These words, invoking a chilling tone, are reminiscent of the engraved phrases found on bullet casings at the murder scene of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who was killed in Manhattan.

Boston has been charged with making threats to commit a mass shooting or act of terrorism. Following her recorded statement, Lakeland Police responded swiftly, arresting her at her home. The judge overseeing the case set her bail at $100,000 (£78,900), reflecting the current tense atmosphere surrounding healthcare disputes, particularly in light of recent violent incidents linked to the industry.
