Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has been injured in a car accident in the US state of New Hampshire, as reported by his security guard. Giuliani’s car was struck from behind at high speed while traveling on a highway. According to the statement from his security guard, Michael Ragusa, Giuliani was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations, and contusions, along with injuries to his left arm and lower leg.

The incident occurred shortly after Giuliani had offered assistance to an alleged victim of domestic violence who had flagged him down on the road. Following the collision, he rendered aid and contacted emergency services immediately.

Known as America's Mayor, Giuliani gained prominence for his leadership in New York during the September 11 attacks and later served as an adviser and personal attorney to Donald Trump. The BBC has reached out to local police for comments on the accident.
