At least 27 people were killed when a large fire broke out in a Bangkok bar after midnight, Thai media reported.


Firefighters arrived at the scene to find guests fleeing through a door engulfed in flames.


Unconfirmed footage indicates that flames erupted from the venue, with one woman falling before quickly getting up to escape.


Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced that 27 people died and several others were hospitalized, according to local media.


The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with officials promising that details will be released as they become available.
