The allegations arise from Busfield's directorial work on the set of the television series 'The Cleaning Lady' from 2022 to 2024. The actor has vehemently denied the charges, asserting through his attorney that he intends to 'fight these charges at every stage.'

Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman shared the indictment details via social media, highlighting the seriousness of the allegations. In January, Busfield voluntarily surrendered to authorities concerning related allegations and was subsequently released by a judge who did not find a pattern of criminal behavior in his history.

Busfield's attorney, Larry Stein, has previously pointed out that during initial police interviews, the children reportedly stated that there was no inappropriate conduct by Busfield.
