BTA reports that the Wide Art Forum 2026, an event organised by Art and Culture Today, will convene in Sofia’s Centre for Contemporary Arts, Toplocentrala, and will be broadcast live on Saturday at the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Center in Gabrovo.
BTA reports that the forum’s programme will consist of six thematic lectures and three moderated discussions, inviting participants to engage directly with the speakers during the sessions.
BTA lists the speakers for the event as artist Pravdoliub Ivanov, Fine Acts Program Director Ana Alexieva, artist Nikolay Bozhilov, screenwriter Kosta Karakashian, artist Yulian Tabakov, and art historians Teodora Konstantinova and Radoslav Mehandzhiyski.
BTA explains that the forum’s thematic focus is the diversity of artistic thought and the role of personal experience in shaping creative practice, aiming to broaden participants’ perceptions of contemporary art.
BTA notes that the six lectures are organized to introduce a variety of creative approaches, featuring personal stories, unexpected ideas, and artistic experiments that challenge conventional boundaries.
BTA describes the format as a blend of visual presentations and moderated dialogue, specifically designed to invite audience participation through question‑asking, thereby creating an interactive environment for the forum.
BTA confirms that admission to the forum is free, and that no entrance fee is required for either the on‑site audience at Toplocentrala or the remote viewers attending via the live stream in Gabrovo.
BTA highlights that the remote screening in Gabrovo allows residents of that city to follow the event without the need to travel to Sofia, thus extending the forum’s reach across the country.
BTA concludes that the Wide Art Forum 2026 seeks to foster dialogue across Bulgaria, celebrating artistic diversity and encouraging the public to engage with contemporary art from diverse perspectives.
