Five Individuals Sentenced in Cover-Up of Venezuelan Rapper Canserbero's Murder

A forensic expert, three police officers, and a music impresario have received jail sentences for their roles in concealing the true circumstances of Canserbero's murder.

The conviction of five individuals related to the 2015 murder of Venezuelan rapper Canserbero has shed light on the tragic events surrounding his death, revealing a narrative of betrayal and manipulation within the music industry.

In a significant legal development, five individuals—including a forensic expert, three police officers, and a music impresario—have been sentenced to prison for their involvement in the cover-up of the murder of Venezuelan rapper Canserbero, whose real name was Tirone González. Canserbero was tragically killed in January 2015, sparking outrage within the music community. The five convicted individuals, sentenced to prison terms ranging from 15 to 20 years, were found guilty of facilitating the orchestration of a crime scene designed to mislead the authorities into believing the rapper's death was a suicide.

Canserbero, widely recognized as one of the best Latin rappers by Rolling Stone magazine, was murdered by his manager, Natalia Améstica, who had already been sentenced to 25 years for her role in the brutal killing. The events of that fateful night involved a complex series of betrayals. After learning that Canserbero intended to sever professional ties with her, Améstica drugged both Canserbero and her boyfriend, Carlos Molnar, before fatally stabbing them. During a recent confession, Améstica detailed the chaotic series of events, including her brother Guillermo's arrival at the scene, facilitating the staged cover-up with the assistance of three Sebin intelligence officers.

The cover-up conspiracy included manipulating the crime scene to fit a narrative where Canserbero was depicted as the aggressor who had killed Molnar in a fit of rage before jumping out of the window. Reports reveal that the forensic expert underlying the crime initially expressed suspicion about the staged scene, prompting an attempted bribery to secure the misrepresentation of facts. In light of these revelations, Marcos Pratolongo, the music impresario found guilty of complicity in the incident, allegedly played a role in the disappearance of crucial evidence concerning Canserbero's death.

The shocking disclosure of the bloody events surrounding Canserbero's murder has left fans and supporters reeling, as the investigation continues to unfold, and questions surrounding safety and trust in the Venezuelan music industry emerge.
