The Ukrainian Naval Band has joined the Band of the Scots Guards for a performance at Buckingham Palace to mark Ukraine's independence day.
The two bands played in formation at the changing of the guard on Monday, with the Scots Guards wearing their distinctive red tunics and bearskin hats, and the Ukrainian navy dressed in white.
The performance came a day after Ukraine's Independence Day, observed on August 24, which has taken on significant emotional weight since the escalation of conflict with Russia in 2022.
On social media, the UK's Ministry of Defence expressed solidarity with Ukraine by stating, We stand by you, Ukraine. Now and always. This performance stands as a testament to international support for Ukraine during challenging times.
