TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Investigators are pleading for the public’s assistance in providing home surveillance footage from specific dates in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of 'Today' show host Savannah Guthrie.

Since going missing on February 1, the case has prompted thousands of tips as authorities push to find leads. Recent footage reveals a masked individual on Nancy’s porch the night she disappeared, raising hopes of a breakthrough. However, the man questioned regarding the surveillance footage has since been released.

The FBI has stepped up efforts, sending teams into the Tucson area to engage directly with residents, searching not just at Guthrie’s home but also circling a nearby neighborhood. During these operations, one neighbor reported police interest in reviewing footage from January 31 and the early hours of February 1, inquiring about any unusual activity captured on cameras.

Authorities confirmed that Guthrie, who is 84 years old, may have been taken against her will. DNA tests matched blood found at her home to Guthrie, raising alarms as she requires regular medication and is in critical need of it. Additionally, authorities have reached out to local Ring doorbell users for footage from much earlier, raising interest in the timeline leading up to her disappearance.

As the investigation continued, it was reported that officials recovered a pair of gloves during their search efforts, which are now undergoing DNA analysis. Hundreds of detectives and agents have been assigned to the case, combating the rising public interest and anxiety surrounding Guthrie's situation.

While investigators are hopeful that the release of police images may prompt leads, no concrete evidence has surfaced pointing definitively to her whereabouts, amplifying concerns for her safety. As this story develops, officials are preparing for ongoing public response, seeking community vigilance.
