Unreleased Beyoncé Music Among Items Stolen in Atlanta Car Theft
A vehicle used by Beyoncé's choreographer and dancer was targeted in Atlanta, leading to the theft of unreleased music and other personal items days before the singer's tour performance.
Several days before Beyoncé’s highly anticipated performance in Atlanta, unreleased music and other crucial materials related to her Cowboy Carter tour were stolen from a car belonging to her choreographer and dancer. The theft took place on July 8, just two days ahead of her first Atlanta concert, alarming her team and fans alike.
According to a police report, the targeted vehicle, a rental Black Jeep Wagoneer, contained five jump drives filled with unreleased tracks, show plans, and past and upcoming set lists for Beyoncé's tour. Choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue, who were using the vehicle, had parked it outside an Atlanta food hall while they went inside. Upon their return, they discovered the back window had been smashed in and two suitcases were missing.
The police have launched an investigation, issuing an arrest warrant for a suspect, although their identity has not yet been revealed to the public. The choreographer and dancer informed authorities about the sensitive nature of the materials in the vehicle, stating it contained personal items that were significant for the musician.
In addition to the music, other stolen items included a laptop, designer clothing, and Apple AirPods. Law enforcement is actively pursuing leads, using tracking information from the laptop and headphones to trace the whereabouts of the stolen goods. Furthermore, investigators dusted the car for fingerprints, yielding the discovery of two faint prints, though it remains uncertain if these will lead to a suspect.
Beyoncé has since begun her performances in Atlanta, where she has captivated audiences, including a surprise appearance from her husband, rapper Jay Z, during the third night of her show. As the investigation unfolds, it raises significant questions about the security of personal and unreleased material in the world of music and entertainment.
