In brief

Jood and du were awarded at the Telecom Review Awards for their integrated digital ecosystem that enhances community participation and promotes transparency, as reported by WAM. The partnership highlights public‑private collaboration that aligns with Dubai’s social agenda.

Jood and du won the Best CSR Initiative award at the Telecom Review Awards in Dubai on 7 November 2026, according to WAM.

The honour recognised Jood’s development of an integrated digital ecosystem for community contributions, a system that encourages public and private sectors to collaborate on transparency, sustainability and resource allocation in line with Dubai’s social agenda.

Jood, the Dubai Community Contributions Establishment, and du, the local telecom operator, have built a platform that allows individuals, institutions and organisations to give directly to priorities identified by the city. The system is said to improve the efficiency of resource distribution and strengthen community engagement, according to the agency.

Marwan Rashid bin Hashem, CEO of Jood, said the award reflects Dubai’s leadership in creating innovative and sustainable corporate‑social‑responsibility models.

"This award reflects the joint efforts of Jood and our partners to establish an integrated ecosystem for community contributions built on transparency, trust and complementary roles," said Bin Hashem.

He highlighted that the partnership with du “demonstrates the importance of combining community and technological expertise to develop digital solutions that expand opportunities for participation and improve the effectiveness of social initiatives.”

Hanan Ahmad, Chief Regulatory and Shared Services Officer at du, described the collaboration as an effective model of public‑private partnership that uses technology to strengthen community engagement. She added that this cooperation helps initiatives reach target groups, address identified priorities and connect technological capabilities with the actual needs of the community, supporting sustainable social impact in line with Dubai’s vision.

WAM framed the award as recognising the utility of technology in governance and community involvement, noting that the integrated ecosystem contributes to transparency, trust and a more efficient allocation of resources.

The award ceremony was part of the Telecom Review Awards, a forum that recognises excellence across the telecommunications sector in the Middle East. The event highlighted the collaboration between Jood and du as a benchmark for future public‑private ventures aimed at enhancing societal welfare through digital innovation.

Overall, the Jood‑du partnership stands as an example of how technology can be leveraged to advance corporate social responsibility objectives while aligning with broader governmental social agendas.
