Police in Haryana arrested Jyoti Malhotra, a prominent YouTuber and travel influencer, on suspicions of spying for Pakistan. Malhotra, who has reportedly visited Pakistan several times—including a trip in March 2025—allegedly maintained contact with a Pakistani official from the High Commission in India, recently expelled for actions deemed incompatible with his diplomatic role.

Her father has vehemently denied the allegations, asserting that Jyoti had the requisite permissions for her travels to Pakistan. Noted for her social media presence, boasting over 377,000 YouTube subscribers and 133,000 Instagram followers, Malhotra describes herself as a "modern girl with old ideas."
