Ella Cook, 19, from Mountain Brook, Alabama, was a talented pianist and sophomore majoring in French, math, and economics. She served as vice president of the college Republicans and was recognized for her uplifting spirit and dedication to educating others.
As plans are made for an interfaith prayer service and other commemorative events, the community reflects on the wounds of this violence. The mayor of Providence has reported that of the nine wounded students, only one has been released from the hospital, while another is in critical condition.
