At least three Palestinian women have been killed and eight more injured after missile debris hit a beauty salon in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS reported that shrapnel struck the salon in the town of Beit Awwa, near Hebron, resulting in significant casualties.

Official sources, including the Palestinian news agency Wafa, noted that fragments landed on a metal caravan used as a beauty salon, as well as in various other locations throughout the West Bank.

Additionally, a Thai worker was killed from shrapnel in Israel’s farming community, highlighting the widespread impact of the military actions.

The incidents occurred on Wednesday night shortly after the Israeli military indicated it was working to intercept an Iranian missile attack.

Wafa has identified the deceased women as Mais Ghazi Masalmeh, 17, Sahira Rizq Masalmeh, 50, and Amal Sobhi Abdel Karim Matawa' Masalmeh, 36, with medical responders rushing to the scene to assist the injured.

Efforts to reach the location were complicated by closures of access points, which significantly delayed the arrival of emergency services. The PRCS had initially reported that four women were killed before revising the death toll to three.

In Israel, reports confirmed that the Thai worker was killed due to shrapnel from an incident about 12 miles northeast of Tel Aviv, with emergency responders indicating that metal debris was strewn across the scene.

The Israeli military has yet to comment on the events surrounding these tragic fatalities.
